The West End Carnival is back this year and will be bigger and better than ever.
Last year’s event had to be cancelled due to COVID restrictions which made us even more determined to make this year’s carnival, on Saturday August 28, a huge celebration for traders, visitors, and residents.
For the first time we will have a grand procession, starting at Place de Brest and winding its way down Cornwall Street to the main performance area in Frankfort Gate which has recently been given a colourful makeover with new planting, street furniture and lighting.
We have a packed line-up of entertainment and activities across the West End and inside Plymouth Market from 11 am, including:
• Carnival Parade
• Live Music
• Street Art
• Roaming circus performers
• Street dancing
• Samba Band
• Plymouth Dance
Many of our West End businesses will be joining in with their own activities or special offers and many new businesses have opened in the area in the last few months.
So, please join in with family and friends for a great day out and support our local businesses at the same time.
Check back in for up-to-date information and additions to the line-up.
