The West End Carnival returns to the streets around Plymouth Market on Saturday 23 August, offering a jam-packed day of free family activities.
Organised by the Plymouth City Centre Company, the carnival will have an amazing programme of free entertainment to enjoy both on stage and roaming the streets.
Delivered in partnership with Plymouth Citybus, Plymouth Community Homes and The Box.
There’s no parade this year but there will be the same mix of entertainment in the streets around Plymouth Market which will be closed to traffic on the day.
So, get ready for a day bursting with colour, rhythm and excitement as the carnival returns to the vibrant West End. Perfect for families, friends and fun-seekers of all ages, this free community celebration promises non-stop entertainment, live music, circus performances, street theatre, vintage cars, children’s rides, and more.
From Frankfort Gate to New George Street, the streets will come alive with energy and creativity – soak up the carnival spirit, take part in the interactive Carnival Trail for the chance to win shopping vouchers, and experience an unforgettable day out in Plymouth’s city centre.
Don’t forget if you run a West End business, we want you to get involved by dressing your shop window or yourselves, trading outside, or putting on special offers to entice the extra visitors through your doors.
